“The planning commission has already held a public hearing that it needed to and made a recommendation to the council. Once it’s signed by the mayor it will go to public works, and they’ll officially begin changing the actual signage on that section of 34th Street,” said Democratic Caucus Spokesperson Tony Hyatt.
The Metro Planning Commission voted to send the proposal the Metro Council with a few technical recommendations on signage. The council has the final say on the name change.
