Felon Voting Rights Amendment Clears Committee

This is Lexington Rep. Jesse Crenshaw’s fifth attempt to win passage of the measure, and he remains optimistic of its chances.

“I’m gonna work as hard as I can,” he says. “I hope we can get it out of the House and the Senate and enacted into law. I’m not speaking for the governor, but I feel optimistic that the governor will sign it if it makes it through both houses.”
