Tomatoes, Whole: Wash small, smooth, firm, fresh, ripe tomatoes. Scald (a few at a time), cold dip, and drain. Remove core without cutting into seed pod. Skin. Pack into hot BALL Jars as closely as possible without crushing. Add one teaspoon of salt to each quart. Cover tomatoes with hot tomato juice or puree. Process for 35 minutes in a hot water bath. (The Ball Blue Book, p. 24, Copyright 1947) Zucchini Bread: 2 loaf pans, grease and flour Pre-heat oven 350 degrees Mix 3 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup vegetable oil Mix separately 3 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. baking powder. Add 2 cups of shredded zucchini and 1/2 cup chopped nuts to dry mixture and incorporate. Add wet mixture to dry mixture and spoon into loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes
