NCAA: U of L Women Eliminated

The University of Louisville women’s basketball team fell to Gonzaga 76-69 tonight in the Sweet Sixteen round of the NCAA tournament in Spokane, Washington.

The Cards trailed by as much as 20 in the second half and cut the lead to three late in the game, but were unable to overtake the Zags, who advance to the tournament’s Elite Eight for the first time.

Louisville finishes the season with a 22-13 record.

NCAA: Kentucky To Face Top Seed OSU Friday

Ohio State defeated George Mason 98-66 Sunday to advance to the Sweet 16. The Buckeyes are the tournament’s overall number one seed. Kentucky, a number four seed, advanced Saturday with a 71-63 victory over West Virginia.
