That arts organizations struggle to stay afloat is not news. So how does an organization like the Louisville Orchestra stand above the crowd? Well, by doing something extraordinary of course! In 1948 the orchestra began commissioning new works from contemporary composers – and voila – the Louisville Orchestra became a star. “Music Makes the City” is a new documentary that chronicles the experiences of the Louisville Orchestra and allows us to explore its rich history.
