College Football: Cards To Face NC State in the Belk Bowl

The University of Louisville football team will take on North Carolina State on December 27 in the Belk Bowl in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Cards received the bid this evening.

U of L finished the regular season with a 7-5 record and tied West Virginia and Cincinnati for a share of the Big East title, but West Virginia broke the three-way tie with a higher BCS ranking. The Mountaineers will play Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

This will be the fourth meeting between U of L and North Carolina State. The Cards won the first three games, most recently in 2007. The Belk Bowl will be played at 8:00pm on December 27 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. [click to continue…]
