Big East Tournament

The Louisville Cards are the champions of the 2012 Big East men’s basketball tournament. U of L defeated Cincinnati 50-44 last night to capture the title, its second Big East crown since joining the conference in 2005.

The Kentucky Wildcats return to action today in the championship game of the Southeastern Conference Tournament in New Orleans. UK takes on Vanderbilt at 1:00pm.

Tomorrow is Selection Sunday, when the NCAA tournament committee unveils its pairings. The brackets will be announced at 6:00pm.

In college basketball, the Kentucky Wildcats held off Louisiana State 60-51 today in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led UK with 19 points.
