Bellarmine Celebrates First National Championship
Fans and students celebrated the Bellarmine University men’s basketball team Tuesday night, for winning the NCAA Division II national championship last weekend. The championship is the school’s first. In a ceremony on campus, Mayor Greg Fischer presented the players with a plaque recognizing each of them as distinguished citizens.
Yarmuth Honors Knight’s National Championship
The team will have a public celebration tonight at Knight’s Hall at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM and National Championship t-shirts will be available for $15. Representative John Yarmuth gave a speech today in the House of Representatives honoring the Bellarmine University Men’s Basketball Team for winning the NCAA Division II National Championship.
Bellarmine Wins National Title
The Knights defeated BYU-Hawaii 71-68 today in Springfield, Massachusetts to claim the school’s first-ever men’s basketball title.
NCAA: Bellarmine Advances To Division II Title Game
The Knights advanced to the title game with an 81-74 victory over Minnesota State-Mankato Thursday.

The Knights advanced to the Final Four of the men’s NCAA Division II basketball tournament yesterday, after defeating Midwestern State 70-64 in Springfield, Massachusetts. This is Bellarmine’s first-ever trip to the Final Four.
