Bellarmine’s quest for a second straight national title came to an end tonight, as the Knights fell to Montevallo of Alabama 79-72 in the semifinals of the men’s NCAA Division II tournament. Montevallo will face Western Washington Saturday afternoon for the championship. Bellarmine finishes the season with a 29-4 record.

The Knights advanced to the Final Four of the men’s NCAA Division II basketball tournament yesterday, after defeating Midwestern State 70-64 in Springfield, Massachusetts. This is Bellarmine’s first-ever trip to the Final Four.
