Building Explosion Reported in Butchertown

by Erica Peterson on April 19, 2012

An explosion has been reported in a residential building in Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood. The explosion was in the 900 block of Franklin Avenue and was called in to MetroSafe shortly after 10:00 this morning.

A MetroSafe spokeswoman says emergency personnel are still on the scene, along with an arson investigator. The city has also dispatched a clandestine lab team, because there’s a possibility the explosion was caused by a meth lab.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

Will be updated.
