Former U of L Runner Wins Boston Marathon

The winner of today’s Boston Marathon is a former University of Louisville track star.      

Wesley Korir holds several records at U of L, where he earned All-America honors in 2007. He graduated in 2008 with a degree in biology.

Korir, a native of Kenya, also attended Murray State University.

He won the Boston Marathon in a heat-slowed time of 2 hours, 12 minutes and 40 seconds.
