NCAA: Bellarmine Back in Final Four

by Rick Howlett on March 21, 2012

The Bellarmine Knights are again headed to the Final Four of the men’s NCAA Division Two tournament.

The defending national champions came back from a nine point halftime deficit to beat Alabama Huntsville 82-73 tonight and advance to the national semifinals at Northern Kentucky University.

The number one seeded Knights will take on Montevallo of Alabama Thursday night.

Starting forward Luke Sprague returned to the lineup after missing two games with a shoulder injury, but guard Keiston Jones left the game with a knee injury and is not expected to return to action Thursday.

Bellarmine is trying to become the first school to win back-to-back championships since Cal State Bakersfield did it in 1993 and ’94.
