Severe Weather: Heavy Damage in Southern Indiana

Severe weather continues to move through the Louisville area and the region this hour.

The first damage reports are coming in from southern Indiana, where officials say the destruction is widespread.

As the system moved across the area, numerous funnel clouds and tornado touchdown were reported in southern Indiana. Among the heaviest damaged areas are the communities of Henryville and Marysville.

Most of the region, including the Louisville metro area remains under a tornado watch until 9:00pm.

There have been no early reports of injuries or fatalities.
