City Budget and State of the City; Frankfort and Indianapolis Round Up; Space Simulation at Shawnee: State of the News

A quick look at today’s State of the News:

Segment A: We’ll check in with WFPL staff on the news of the week, including Mayor Fischer’s State of the City Address, the student assignment plan at JCPS, hiring freeze at the University of Louisville, and Governor Beshear’s rejection of the revised hospital merger plans.

Segment B: We’ll dig into the political news of the week from Frankfort and Indianapolis, with Kentucky Public Radio’s Kenny Colston, and Brandon Smith of IPBS.

Segment C: Anne Marshall from LEO Weekly joins us to talk about an interesting space simulation center at Shawnee, one of 48 centers around the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and South Korea that takes 400,000 kids on simulated space missions every year.
