U of L Faces Off Against UK Saturday

by Devin Katayama on December 30, 2011

The 4th ranked University of Louisville Cardinals and the 3rd ranked University of Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball teams meet Saturday in Lexington in a much anticipated match-up.

UK is favored but both teams have a 12 and 1 record going into the game. The Wildcats lost earlier this month to Indiana, and U of L was undefeated before Wednesday’s game against Georgetown.

Since the two teams began playing regularly in the mid 80s, UK won more games 19 to 11. The game will be played in Lexington’s Rupp Area, which has been called one of the more intimidating arenas to play in.

Tip off is scheduled for 12 noon Saturday.
