Police Chief Selection Forum Set For South Louisville

by Rick Howlett on December 6, 2011

A second forum for public input on the selection process for Louisville’s next police chief will be held tomorrow evening. It follows a public forum last week in west Louisville.

The next meeting is at 6:00pm at the South Louisville Community Center on Taylor Boulevard.

Mayor Greg Fischer is launching a search for a successor to Robert White, who leaves this week to head the Denver Police Department.

Former Kentucky Justice Cabinet Secretary Ishmon Burks will serve as interim chief until a permanent replacement is appointed.

A third forum on the selection process will be held December 17 in Old Louisville.
