The University of Louisville men’s soccer team ended its season Saturday with a loss to UCLA in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.
The Bruins scored the only goal of the game in double overtime. Both teams struggled in regulation to find scoring opportunities, but UCLA ended the game with more shots on goal and gained momentum in the second half of the game.
U of L beat UCLA in the home opener this year. The team was looking to earn a championship after losing the finals to the University of Akron last year.
The Cards end with a 14-7-2 record.
