Jeffersonville, Indiana Mayor-elect Mike Moore has begun making key appointments to his cabinet.

Moore has named 41-year-old Chris Grimm as his police chief. Grimm is currently a lieutenant and 18-year veteran. He has a degree in criminology from Indiana State University and has been a SWAT commander.

Forty-two-year-old Erik Hedrick has also been named Moore’s fire chief. Hedrick is an 11-year veteran and was also on the Jeffersonville Police Department for four years. He previously served as a U.S. Army Intelligence agent.

Moore has been working with a transition team since last week to review other leadership positions in Jeffersonville government. He begins his term the first of the year. Moore won last week’s election beating incumbent Democrat Mayor Tom Galligan.
