Cards Preparing For Home Finale Against Pitt

by Rick Howlett on November 7, 2011

After struggling to a 2-4 start, the University of Louisville football team has won three straight games and will become bowl eligible next weekend with a win against Pittsburgh.

The Cards are also in second place in the Big East Conference standings.

U of L upset number 24 West Virginia on Saturday; its first win at Morgantown since 1990.

Coach Charlie Strong says he’s told his team that it’s too early to think about post-season possibilities.

“There’s a lot of things can happen. Just make sure that we don’t stub our own toe, looking ahead to somewhere else. Let’s make sure we stay focused and our preparation is on Pittsburgh,” Strong said at his weekly press conference.

The Pittsburgh game will be the Cards’ final home game of the season.
