Cards’ Conner Seriously Hurt in Rutgers Game

University of Louisville football coach Charlie Strong says senior cornerback Anthony Conner suffered a broken neck during the Cards’ victory over Rutgers last night.

Conner was injured in the second quarter as he tried to tackle a Rutgers receiver. He was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Strong said after the game that Conner is not paralyzed but his playing career is likely over.
