Speaker Boehner to Visit Louisville

by Gabe Bullard on October 7, 2011

Speaker of the House John Boehner will visit Louisville at the end of the month.

Boehner will speak at the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center on the 31st.

The Ohio Congressman has been a central figure in American politics over the last three years as one of the most powerful and influential Republicans in Washington. He was a key player in the recent debt ceiling negotiations, and has been a leader in the GOP opposition to President Obama.

Boehner is the latest addition to the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center lecture series. The series has previously featured Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, Senator John McCain and former President George W. Bush.

Tickets to the event are free, but must be obtained through the McConnell Center.
