IdeaFestival Speaker Charles Birnbaum and ‘Cultural Landscapes’

by Brad Yost on September 20, 2011

Charles Birnbaum, Director of the Cultural Landscape Foundation, will be speaking at the IdeaFestival tomorrow (9/21) morning at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.  His talk will focus on “reading” the cultural landscape, with case studies drawn heavily from the Louisville region (Olmsted-designed parks and subdivisions, the Ohio River corridor and Yew Dell Gardens to name a few).

Birnbaum was a guest on WFPL’s HomeGrown back in 2010.  You can get acquainted with Birnbaum and the work of the Cultural Landscape Foundation by checking out the interview.
