The Thursday Morning Commute: 6:45am Update

by Todd Mundt on September 15, 2011

Here’s where we stand as Thursday dawns in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Officials say the traffic plan is working well and they don’t plan significant changes. Our traffic notes:

Clark Memorial Bridge:
• Three lanes south, one lane north in the morning.
• Two lanes south, two north in the evening

I-64 to Third Street is open. There’s no access to the Kennedy Bridge from I-64 WB. Drivers must use I-71 or surface roads.

No last-minute lane changes are allowed on the Kennedy to I-64 or I-71. The ramp from I-65 north to I-64 east is one lane in rush hours.

Court Avenue ramp to 65 in Jeffersonville is closed in the morning. Crews are widening the I-265 ramps in Indiana.

Ferry service is running again today. Here’s the timetable.

TARC has added several buses to routes that cross the river. Here’s the route information.
