The Latest on Lybia; Charges Dismissed Against Dominique Strauss-Kahn

by Laura Ellis on August 23, 2011

Rebels have stormed Moammar Gaddafi‘s main military compound in Tripoli, but his whereabouts remain unknown. This afternoon at 1pm we’ll have the very latest news from Libya with the BBC’s World Have Your Say.

Charges have been dismissed in the rape case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former head of the IMF. Why did prosecutors — who initially said the victim’s account of what happened in a hotel room in New York was compelling and unwavering — now say they have no proof of a forced sexual encounter? We’ll find out in the second half of the 1 o’clock hour.

Then at 3pm we’ll carry a special edition of the BBC News Hour focusing on the day’s events in Libya.
