From Facebook and Twitter, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer will hold the first-ever virtual town hall meeting with citizens later today.
The online assembly is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with them mayor taking questions and suggestions via the social networking sites. Fischer will be joined by key department and agency directors, who will also respond to questions for at least two hours.
Since taking office, Fischer has used social networking to update citizens about his schedule, public announcements and local disasters. The mayor’s office says all citizen suggestions and concerns will be logged into the MetroCall 311 system for follow-up.
