The 72nd Senior PGA Championship begins this week at Louisville’s Valhalla Golf Club.

More than 150 PGA professionals who are age 50 and older will compete in the four day championship that begins Thursday.

Tom Lehman (pictured) will defend his title against a field that includes past golf champions Fred Couples and Tom Watson, along with Kentuckians Kenny Perry and Russ Cochran, and New Albany’s Fuzzy Zoeller.

Valhalla will be open for fans to watch practice rounds Tuesday and Wednesday. There will also be a Pro-Am competition on Tuesday.

This is the second Senior PGA Championship to be held at Valhalla. The club has also hosted the Ryder Cup competition and two regular PGA Championships.

It will also be the site of the 2014 PGA Championship.
