by Gabe Bullard on May 2, 2011

Indiana Congressman Mike Pence is expected to announce this week whether he’ll run for governor next year.

The 6th District Republican was previously rumored to be considering a bid for president, but decided against it in January. He was expected to announce his plans for 2012 today, but decided against it after learning about the death of Osama bin Laden.

Former Indiana Senator Evan Bayh was previously expected to seek the Democratic nomination for governor, but has decided against it.

Current Governor Mitch Daniels has reached his term limit in the office and is considering running for President.
