Bellarmine Wins National Title

Louisville’s Bellarmine Knights are the national champions of men’s NCAA Division II basketball.

The Knights defeated BYU-Hawaii 71-68 today in Springfield, Massachusetts to claim the school’s first-ever men’s basketball title.

Jeremy Kindle and Justin Bendetti led Bellarmine with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

A welcome home celebration for the team will be held at 9:15am Sunday at Knights Hall on the Bellarmine campus.
