Louisville’s Jennifer Lawrence Lands Lead in ‘Hunger Games’

Louisville native and oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence has been cast to play Katniss in the movie adaptation of “The Hunger Games”.

The critically acclaimed children’s book by Suzanne Collins is about a young girl who participates in forced gladiatorial battles in a post-apocolyptic North America. Lawrence will play the heroine Katniss Everdeen. The film will be directed by Gary Ross.
