One year after a devastating earthquake killed nearly a quarter of a million people in Haiti, some say the conditions in the country have improved little.

Dee Dee Hurt with Edge Outreach in Louisville says she was in Haiti recently.

“I went back in November with my church and the tent cities are still everywhere people are still afraid to move back into their homes,” she said.

Hurt says in addition to the earthquake, Haitains have dealt with diseases over the last year because they still don’t have enough clean drinking water.

Edge Outreach provides clean drinking water to several countries, including Haiti.
