Jim Gray Inauguration Set For January 2

Gray, Vice Mayor-elect Linda Gorton and the incoming Urban County Council will be sworn in by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Mary Noble.

Plans have been announced for the inauguration of Lexington Mayor-elect Jim Gray, vice mayor Linda Gorton, and the incoming Urban County Council.

Spokesperson Linda Breathitt says the public is invited to witness a new era in city government on Sunday, January 2nd.

“It’s in the Bluegrass Ballroom of the Lexington Convention Center…Judge Mary Noble who is a Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court, is going to administer the oath for all of the elected officials on the stage,” she said.

Louisville’s Mayor-elect, Greg Fischer, will take the oath of office on the following day, Monday, January 3rd.
