Light Up Louisville Celebration Is Friday

by Rick Howlett on November 25, 2010

The 30th annual Light Up Louisville holiday celebration is Friday in the Metro Hall area of downtown.

“Light Up Louisville has been a real part of the holiday experience, a free event that offers tens of thousands of twinkling lights and trees and fireworks and children’s activities and of course, Santa Claus himself,” said Mayor Jerry Abramson.

It all begins at 3:00pm with music, food and craft booths and a 5K run and walk.

The Winter Wonderland Parade is at 6:00pm, with the holiday lights switched on at 9:00pm.
