by Rick Howlett on October 27, 2010

A new poll this week shows a tight race for southern Indiana’s 9th District congressional seat.

The survey, conducted by the Washington publication The Hill, gives Democrat Baron Hill 46 percent support of 400 likely voters surveyed.

Forty-four percent said they would vote for Young, with nine percent undecided and one percent saying they would vote for another candidate.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

Hill is running for a sixth term in the House.

Young is a Bloomington attorney making his first run for elected office.

Also on the ballot is Libertarian Greg Knott.
