Kentucky Bourbon Festival Begins Tuesday

by Rick Howlett on September 13, 2010

The 19th annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival begins Tuesday in Bardstown. The event celebrates the history and art of one of Kentucky’s best-known products.

Spokesperson Ann McMichael says the festival has grown to include numerous events.

“The balloon glow, this is free open to the public. That’s one of the great things about the festival. There are many free events that are going on. While you have the paid events somewhere across town so there are a lot of choices with this,” she said.

McMichael says last year’s event drew 45,000 people from 43 states and 13 countries.

The festival runs through Sept. 19th.
