LMPD Participating In 'National Night Out'

by Rick Howlett on August 3, 2010

The Louisville Metro Police Department is again participating in the “National Night Out” campaign.

All eight LMPD divisions will have various activities and provide crime prevention tips Tuesday evening, generally from 5:00-8:00.

National Night Out, now in its 27th year, is a partnership involving citizens, neighborhood organizations and police to encourage participation in anti-crime programs and drug prevention awareness.

Some LMPD divisons will have food, school supplies, prizes and free disposal of old prescription drugs.
