The 2010 USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships return to Louisville-area venues Tuesday.

The races will pit some of the country’s top competitive cyclists age 30 older in multiple events at Cherokee Park, Taylorsville, and Jeffersonville. More than 900 riders are expected to compete for 60 national titles this year.

Spokesperson Andrea Smith says the Louisville area is hosting the event for the third year in a row.

“It a great area for cycling, geographically the rolling hills, beautiful terrain, some good roads, a great cycling community there as well, which I learned the first time I traveled there two years ago, Just a beautiful area with a great community, supportive of the cyclist in the area,” she said.

The event continues through Sunday.
