Soldier From Louisville Killed In Afghanistan

Funeral arrangements are pending for a 19 year old Louisville native killed last week in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says Pfc. Michael Pridham died July 6 of wounds sufferered when his vehicle was attacked by insurgents with an improvised explosive device.

Pridham was a graduate of Southern High School and was just over a month away from completing his tour of duty in Afghanistan.   

Gov. Steve Beshear has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on the day of his interment.
