Twenty people have filed applications to be considered for the Louisville Metro Council seat left vacant by the death of George Unseld last week.

The council will hold special meetings later this month to interview the applicants and select a replacement. An election will be held in November to determine who serves the two years left on Unseld’s term in the 6th District seat.

The deadline to apply for the post was 5:00pm Friday.

A list of the candidates and their resumes can be seen here and here.

I support Ken Herndon for this seat.
