Officials at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington have announced a partnership with the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia. Keeneland President Nick Nicholson (in photo, at left, with Greenbrier owner Jim Justice) says the agreement will include heavy cross-promotion and package deals.

“The opportunity to expose people from all over the world that are familiar with the horse world to the beauty of West Virginia and the beauty of the Greenbrier is something that we think will enhance their visit and make their trips even more enjoyable, and hopefully on this side will keep it profitable,” he said.

The announcement comes two weeks before the opening of the new Casino Club at the Greenbrier. Resort owner Jim Justice says he plans to offer his guests flights to and from Lexington during Keeneland’s fall meet.
