Getting Ready for the World Equestrian Games
We always bring you horse-related shows for Derby Week, but Wednesday we focuses on a different event. The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010 in Kentucky will represent the largest equine sporting event ever held in the United States. The games are taking place this fall at Kentucky Horse Park – their first time ever to be held outside Europe. Tune in to learn more about the games, their significance, and what preparations are being made at the horse park. Listen to the Show

I’m personally very concerned about how both the Games and the City of Lexington are preparing for the language needs this event will inevitably have. An Alltech representative (Alltech is the main sponsor) told me one of the largest complaints about the events when they were last held (in Germany) was the lack of translating and interpreting available for non-German speakers. What is Lexington doing to prepare for non-English speakers?

Thanks for your comment, Terena! We will pass your question along to tomorrow’s guests, or you can call in to the show between 1 and 2pm at 502-814-TALK to ask them directly.
