UK, Murray State Advance In NCAA

Kentucky and Murray State have both advanced to the second round of the men’s NCAA tournament.

The number-one seeded Wildcats easily defeated East Tennessee State 100-71 Thursday night. They’ll take on Wake Forest Saturday in New Orleans.

In San Jose, Danero Thomas hit a 15 footer at the buzzer to give the 13th-seeded Murray State Racers a 66-65 upset victory over number four seed Vanderbilt.

Murray State will take on Butler Saturday in second round play.

The Louisville Cardinals open play tonight against California in the South Region in Jacksonville. Tipoff is about 9:45pm.
