Signature Healthcare May Move To Louisville

by Gabe Bullard on March 12, 2010

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear’s office is mum on the possible relocation of a senior-living facility operator to Louisville.

Business First of Louisville reports that Florida-based Signature Healthcare LLC will likely soon move its headquarters to Louisville. Signature is expected to buy the former Sears, Roebuck and Company call center building on Bluegrass Parkway and bring about 75 jobs to Louisville.

Signature and government officials have not confirmed the report, though governor’s office spokesperson Kerri Richardson says there will be an announcement of some sort on Monday.

“There is an economic development announcement that we are looking forward to making,” she says. “There’s nothing I can confirm or deny at this point.”

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority gave preliminary approval for up to four million dollars in tax benefits for Signature last year.
