The final game of University of Louisville men’s basketball in Freedom Hall takes place tomorrow afternoon. The 19-and-11 Cardinals face the number-one ranked Syracuse, a team they defeated earlier this season.

Coach Rick Pitino says they had no idea Syracuse would be so dominant this year, but it’s a great ending to an era.

“It should be that way,” says Pitino. “I think a great place like Freedom Hall should have great visiting team come in, so I think it’s a fitting ending to an unbelievable place with so many all-Americans, so many legendary games, and although Freedom Hall is going to move on, the legends and what they’ve accomplished with never move on.”

Pitino thinks his team can secure a bid into the NCAA Tournament with a win over the Orange. It’s also senior day for four players, including standout guard Edgar Sosa.

In other action this weekend, Indiana hosts Northwestern tomorrow and Kentucky hosts Florida Sunday afternoon.
