The U.S. Census Bureau is still recruiting temporary workers in the Louisville area to help with the 2010 population count.

Karen Hawkins with the bureau’s Louisville office says the agency is looking to fill 78 local positions by the middle this month, then another 1,200 in April.

“I have positions available at clerk, supervisor, enumerator, crew leader and field operations supervisor ranging in pay from $11.25 at the clerk level and the FOS level is….about 18.50 an hour,” she said.

Hawkins says there are both full and part time jobs available.

The local hiring process was hampered last month by inclement weather.

Information about census jobs is availalbe at 1-866-861-2010 or online.
