Toyoda Visits Toyota Plant

The president of Toyota Motor Company paid a surprise visit to the company’s Georgetown, Kentucky plant Thursday.

Akio Toyoda told workers that the company is as a “crossroads” amid massive recalls and a federal safety investigation.

It was Toyoda’s first visit to the Georgetown plant. He was in Washington on Wednesday to testfiy before a congressional committee.

He also met briefly with Governor Steve Beshear Thursday. The governor described their meeting as “excellent.”
