Forecasters: Snow on the Way for Louisville

by scrosby on January 29, 2010

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Louisville area, as forecasters are predicting snow over the next two days.

Don Kirkpatrick with the National Weather Service in Louisville says the area will get brushed with the top portion of a large snowstorm making its way across the south.

He says the Louisville area could see between one and four inches of snow.

“It’s the northern part of Kentucky and southern Indiana where there’s going to be a sharp cut-off from very little snow to maybe as much as four inches over the southern parts of Jefferson County and adjacent counties,” he says.

Kirkpatrick says snow should start falling after sunset tonight and continue throughout most of the day tomorrow.
