Churchill Downs to Sell Derby, Oaks Tickets Online

by scrosby on December 11, 2009

Churchill Downs officials say they’ll sell three-thousand bundled tickets to the Kentucky Derby and Oaks online next week.

Spokesperson Darren Rogers says the company has a new online ticket selling platform and they want to bring attention to it by selling tickets to the world’s most famous race.

Rogers says they’ll go on sale at noon on Wednesday.

“It’ll go until the tickets are gone,’ says Rogers. “We expect the product to likely move fast. We have a limited number of seats – 3,000 for Oaks Day and 3,000 for Kentucky Derby Day. They’re bundled together and they’ve been allocated for this online exclusive.”

Ticket prices range from 172-dollars for grandstand bleacher seats to over six-thousand dollars for a six-seat box in the clubhouse.
