Cold Front Brings Chill, Threat Of Flood

A cold front will lower temperatures and drop some heavy rain on the Louisville Thursday and Friday.

Near-continuous rain is expected through Friday afternoon, with totals for Louisville averaging one to two inches. National Weather Service forecaster John Denman says more rain is expected farther north.

“We feel that areas across southern Indiana, say northwest of the Ohio River up towards Bloomington and Indianapolis could well receive widespread 2 to 4 inch amounts with some locally heavier rainfall,” he says.

Denman says there’s a risk of flooding in Louisville if the city┬áreceives┬áthree or more inches of rain.

After the storms clear, Denman says the weather will remain cool for several days with highs in the low 60s.
