The 105th Kentucky State Fair gets underway this week.
Spokesperson Vicki Glass says the fair’s ten-day run starts Thursday at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Gates open daily at 7:00am and the exhibit buildings are open from 9:00am-10:00pm.
“Last year, we had close to 600,000 people attend the Kentucky State Fair, so we’re looking to at least meet or beat that number this year,” Glass said.
About 800 people are being hired for temporary jobs at the fair.
She says in addition to rides and other traditional fair attractions, there are millions of square feet of air-conditioned exhibit space, plus a lineup of free concerts.
