HomeGrown 07/26/09 – Begonias & Sedges

by Brad Yost on July 26, 2009

Two very useful plants rarely discussed in the same sentence – begonias and carex – each take a star turn on HomeGrown this week. Johanna Zinn of the American Begonia Society talks about the eight different classes of the Begonia crispula (photo J.Zinn)often-beautiful plant, and the best ways to care for them indoors and out. Dr. Paul Capiello of Yew Dell Gardens offers the best uses for the often neglected carex in wet or dry areas, and talks about why it should be used more often in both. Downloadable MP3
